our story

Hi! My name is Joshua Stein. I am 25 years old, and helping people through fitness is my calling! I am BEYOND passionate about what I do. My clients, whether present or former, can testify to that.

From a very young age, I was always in and out of hospitals due to my chronic asthma and allergies. I would get very sick often and would tend to miss a lot of school. I couldn’t participate in a lot of things that involved cardiovascular fitness, and as a result, it certainly affected my self-esteem.

Now, you may read that first paragraph, and think that I had a sad childhood. However, that was not the case. Being overweight was all I ever knew. I simply assumed that I was going to be stuck like that for the rest of my life, and I would likely not live very long. I didn’t know life on the other side. This lasted up until I was about 15 years old… after I fell in love with weightlifting. Weightlifting allowed me to lose weight in a way that was not only effective but extremely enjoyable, especially for someone like me.

The gym changed everything for me. I still remember the first time my friend brought me to a gym, and the amazing feeling it brought me. I became a student of weightlifting. I became extremely fascinated with learning about exercise… specifically how to see results. The gym truly became my happy place. I was seeing physical results, but not only that, I noticed that I was a MUCH happier person. And THAT’s how I found my passion for training. I want to show people how fitness can transform their lives the same way it transformed mine. It is truly my passion to show people how much fitness can change lives. I don’t train people just to help them look better, but to help them feel better.

For the last few years, I was working as the Lead Trainer at a Big-box gym. While I was there, I had the opportunity to grow as a trainer, work with amazing clients, learn from amazing coworkers, and most importantly, I got to meet my girlfriend, Jordan. Everything was great until (yes I am going to say it) Coronavirus struck the world. At that time, my gym closed and our future was very uncertain. For a while, we weren’t doing anything. After a few months of lockdown, a few clients reached out to me, and we decided to conduct virtual sessions. A few months later, those sessions turned into sessions at parks. Slowly but surely, our team got bigger, and we were having a ton of fun with our workouts, all while being safe and practicing social distancing. With the pickup from training outside, Jordan and I decided to get open our own studio in Collingswood! We got our place in October 2020, and we took about a month to get everything ready. Since we have opened, we have worked with more than a hundred clients, and have had many clients see success.

If you are someone who is struggling with your own happiness, here is my advice - take a look at your health! Try to move more, and put better foods in your body. If you need help with that, it would be our pleasure to help you!
